The Oidaira Park is a widely known autumn leaves spot of the district of Inabu, eastern Toyota City. About 520 trees of Acer, Maple and Maiden’s Hair (Gingko biloba) all start to get vividly colored a bit earlier than the even more famous Korankei Valley, making for a good option for those in a hurry to see the beautiful autumnal hues of Aichi’s nature.

Obara-Area
Obara kabuki started in the mid-Edo Period when villagers performed the play as an offering to the local shrine. Today, it is held twice a year in May and October at the Obara Koryukan Community Hall and billed as “The Obara-za.”

Each year, the main festival is held on the third Sunday of October, with the rehearsal festival held the day before. Large floats are pulled through town and the Shichido Mairi event is held at night at the Koromo Shrine for the rehearsal festival. Hirose Yana Fishing Weir is built traditionally with wood and bamboo. After you catch your sweetfish with your bare hands, you can cook it over a charcoal fire.
