The virgin forest of Mennoki, filled with beech trees over 300 years old, is designated as a Special Protection Area of Tenryu-Okumikawa Quasi-National Park. When weather conditions such as subfreezing temperatures align, soft rime covers the trees as they sparkle beautifully in the early morning sun. The observation deck offers views of Mt. Fuji on some days.

Inabu-Area
Daianji Temple belongs to the Soto school of Zen Buddhism and was established in the year 1624. The temple has the honorific mountain name of Choshozan and is a branch temple of Ryukoin Temple. Within the temple grounds, the weeping cherry tree is especially enchanting. Around 180 years old, the weeping cherry tree is also lit up at night from early to mid-April.

The Inabu Festival is an event everyone can participate in by taking part in the dance animated by the Taiko Japanese drums and hayashi players. Being the biggest event in the Inabu area of Toyota-City, it also features Tezutsu Hand-Held Cannon Fireworks, as well as gorgeous regular fireworks for the conclusion.

Yukimi Kaido Inabu is an annual winter event in the Inabu area of Toyota City. When the candles made out of natural snow are lit, the soft light creates a mysterious nighttime atmosphere. Shiru-1 Grand Prix will also be held at the same time. Local shops compete for the grand prize with hot soup items. The judges are the participants!

Oshikawa Waterfall is a calming spot where you can enjoy the rushing sound of water falling from a height of 8 meters combined with dynamic scenery. Meet various kinds of hina dolls and look forward to seeing what theme the hina dolls will make an appearance under this year. The main venue is at Donguri Workshop, where the dolls who have retired from being regular hina dolls have become “fukuyose hina,” bringing good luck and making everyone smile with their lively poses.

Starting in December of each year, columns are set up in a waterfall near Oidaira Park (Rokurogi) and water is poured over them every day to create enormous icicles, creating a frozen waterfall sculpture (hyobaku) that can be seen only in the winter. When illuminated at night, the ice sparkles with a mystical glow. It is gathering attention as one of the Inabu District's new attractions.

The Oidaira Park is a widely known autumn leaves spot of the district of Inabu, eastern Toyota City. About 520 trees of Acer, Maple and Maiden’s Hair (Gingko biloba) all start to get vividly colored a bit earlier than the even more famous Korankei Valley, making for a good option for those in a hurry to see the beautiful autumnal hues of Aichi’s nature.

This is the workshop of Sekiya Brewery, producer of fine Japanese sake. Horaisen is a local brew that is quite well known. Its “Gin,” “Sora,” and “Bi” variants of daiginjo sake are very popular. In addition, they also brew shochu vodka and liqueurs.
