The Obara area is home to other great locations where you can see shikizakura cherry blossoms—a flower which unlike most cherry blossoms, blooms in both spring and fall. Below are some ideas on courses to take around Obara for a spectacular floral adventure.

Mt. Senmi Sakura's footpath is unavailable as part of it was washed away during the torrential rains of June, 2023.

Another sight to see: Magenta creeping phlox

Blooming period: Mid-Apr – early May

Once spring comes around, Senmi Shikizakura no Sato Park announces the change of seasons with astonishing magenta creeping phlox. The blossoming period differs slightly by year due to the weather and temperatures, but the flowers typically begin to open up around mid-April to early May, coming into full bloom around the start of Golden Week vacation.

Directions by public transportation	From Toyotashi Station on the Meitetsu Toyota Line, get on the Toyota Oiden Bus's Obara–Toyota Line headed for Kami Nigi. Get off at Kami Nigi Bus Stop, the final stop, and walk approx. 15 min.
Directions by car	• Approx. 30 min. from Nakayama Interchange on Sanage Green Road. • Approx. 30 min. from Toyota-Fujioka Interchange on the Tokai-Kanjo Expressway. • Approx. 30 min. from Mizunami Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.
