Wisteria blossoms bloom on the vine and broadcast their scents into the wind
The Fujioka area of Toyota City holds its Wisteria Festival as the flowers come into full bloom during Japan's consecutive Golden Week holiday in early May. Tourism info, retail of local produce and other specialties, a bazaar, Bo no Te acrobatic martial arts performances,and a concert act as an accent to the floral festival.

Fee: JPY 500 (Includes rental poles. Reservation required.)
Experience Nordic walking with a instructor's (Hirokazu Aoki) guidance (in Japanese) as you walk through Wisteria Alley and the surrounding area (approx. 4 km).

Fee: Free of charge (reservation required)

Advance reservations necessary for each event.
Reservations taken from 8:30 am on Mon, Apr 8. Available by phone (0565-76-6108) or from the Fujioka Tourism Association reservation site (Japanese).
Paid shuttle bus
As there are very few parking lots around the venue, a shuttle bus is available for a fee from Aichi Prefectural Greenification Center; Sat, Apr 27–Mon, Apr 29 (national holiday).
• Operation period: Sat, Apr 27–Mon, Apr 29 (national holiday), 2024
• Operation hours: First departure from 9:00 am (departing every 15–20 min.) with the final bus at 4:10 pm
• Route: Round trip service between Aichi Prefectural Greenification Center and the Wisteria Festival venue (also available at Fujioka Community Center on Mon, Apr 29 [national holiday])
• Fee: JPY 200/passenger each day (excludes infants)
• Bus stop: Aichi Prefectural Greenification Center Parking Lot No. 1 and the Wisteria Alley Bus Parking Lot
